Delaware Right To Marry has released a new poll showing a plurality of respondents (48%) support marriage equality while 47% oppose the idea either strongly (31%) or somewhat (16%). There are 5% who said they were "not sure." The poll was conducted January 26-28 of 605 registered Delaware voters and has a margin of error of ±4 points.
This is an interesting result because next door to Delaware in Maryland a recent poll showed a clear majority supports marriage equality and the state legislature is currently debating legislation (SB 116: The Religious Freedom and Civil Marriage Protection Act) to enact equal marriage rights for all.
