The
list of nominees for the 2011 Nebula Awards have been released. I'm always interested in who is up for Best Novel.
- The Native Star, M.K. Hobson (Spectra)
- The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, N.K. Jemisin (Orbit UK; Orbit US)
- Shades of Milk and Honey, Mary Robinette Kowal (Tor)
- Echo, Jack McDevitt (Ace)
- Who Fears Death, Nnedi Okorafor (DAW)
- Blackout/All Clear, Connie Willis (Spectra)
I have read
The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, but was not impressed.
Connie Willis wrote one of my favorite books of all-time,
Doomsday Book, which won both the Hugo
and Nebula Awards.
Blackout/All Clear is something of a sequel to that book, and I have just begun
Blackout.
