When royalty was decadent

I'm sorry, but I am not attending some stupid party to celebrate the wedding of William and Kate. Aside from the fact that William was my childhood crush and I am commiserating over the fact that it should be me, Kate is as boring as batshit and I think in general, royalty these days is all too conservative.
Here are some of my favourite aristocratic decadent bitches from past and present. I think if William had ever met me, I would have taken my cake and eaten it too.

Grace Kelly: Princess of Monaco
The golden screen goddess who married Rainier III, Prince of Monaco in April 1956, earning her title as Her Serene Highness the Princess of Monaco.

With her family, left to right Princess Caroline, Prince Rainer, Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie

 Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands
Beatrix was the first child of Queen Juliana and Prince Bernard. She was crowned Queen of the Netherlands on April 30, 1980.

fun fact: Queen Beatrix is friends with my Oma.

Deborah Mitford, the Duchess of Devonshire
The Duchess of Devonshire is the youngest and last remaining member of the famous six Mitford sisters. She married Lord Andrew Cavendish in 1941. When Cavendish's older brother was killed in combat in 1944, the couple became the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and moved into Chatsworth House.

Her Highness, Queen Elizabeth the II
The daughter of King George VI, and his wife and Elizabeth the First, our current Queen has been reigning the monarch and commonwealth realm since 6 February 1952.

Said to be one of her most glamourous moments, in Australia in 1954

Elizabeth the First aka. The Virgin QueenThe illigitimate daughter of Henry the VIII and Anne Boleyn, Elizabeth was the fifth and last monarch of the Tudor dynasty. She reigned for 44 years after her predecessor, older and half-sister Mary.

Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart, the 18th Duchess of Alba
Her full name is Doña María del Rosario Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart y Silva, 18th Duchess of Alba de Tormes, Grandee of Spain, she is said to be able to cross the country from north to south without leaving her estates, and possess as many titles as the Queen of England and of higher rank.

Marie Antoinette: The Queen of France
If you don't know why Marie Antoinette is the most decadent bitch to live, then you should be shunned for aristocratic ignorance and being a general philistine. We live the way we live today because of her. It was called the French Rev, and she died a martyr for decadence.
